This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on https://prepnights.com, what each kind is for, and exactly how to switch them off. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep, so that something can be remembered between page loads. Related technologies do the same job under different names: local storage and session storage (entries saved by the page in your browser), and pixels or tracking parameters in a link. Where this page says “cookies”, it means all of them.

The three kinds used here

1. Essential

These make the page work as you expect and are the only ones set before you choose anything.

• Your cookie choice. When you press “Accept all” or “Essential only” on the notice at the bottom of the home page, we save a single entry named ck-ok in your browser’s local storage so the notice stops reappearing on every visit. It holds one character and no personal information.
• Security and load balancing. Our host may set a short-lived cookie to keep the connection stable and to block abusive traffic.

Essential storage cannot be turned off from the page, because turning it off is what it remembers. You can still delete it in your browser at any time.

2. Analytics

These count visits so we can see which pages and which games people actually open. They record things like the page viewed, the time, an approximate region, the screen size, and which links were clicked. We look at the totals, not at individuals, and we do not use them to build an advertising profile of you. If you press “Essential only”, analytics storage is not used.

3. Affiliate tracking

This website earns a commission when a visitor signs up with the third-party streaming service we link to — see the disclosure in our Terms of Service. To know that a sign-up came from here, the affiliate network sets a cookie (or adds an identifier to the link) at the moment you click a watch, sign-in, or schedule button. It typically records the campaign, the publisher, and the time of the click, and it usually expires after 30 to 90 days.

Two points worth being clear about:

• This cookie is set by the affiliate network and by the streaming service, on their domains, not ours. Once you leave this website their cookie policy applies, and we can neither read nor delete what they store.
• Blocking it costs us the commission. It costs you nothing, and it does not change the price of any subscription.

Not used

We do not set retargeting or advertising cookies, we do not run ad networks on this website, and we do not use fingerprinting or session-recording tools.

How to switch cookies off

On this website. Press “Essential only” on the cookie notice at the bottom of the home page. If you have already dismissed the notice and want to choose again, clear this site’s storage as described below and reload.

In your browser. Every major browser can block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for one site. Blocking third-party cookies is usually the setting that matters most.

• Chrome (desktop): Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies. To clear just this site: click the icon at the left of the address bar → Cookies and site data → Manage on-device site data → Delete.
• Chrome (Android): ⋮ → Settings → Site settings → Third-party cookies.
• Safari (Mac): Safari → Settings → Privacy → tick “Prevent cross-site tracking”, or Manage Website Data to remove one site.
• Safari (iPhone, iPad): Settings app → Apps → Safari → Block All Cookies, or Clear History and Website Data.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection, set to Strict; or Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Other ways. A private or incognito window discards all cookies and local storage when you close it. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, and browser extensions can block trackers before they load. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to use analytics or sharing cookies.

Clearing local storage removes the ck-ok entry too, so the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit. That is normal.

What stops working if you block them

Almost nothing. This website has no login and no shopping basket, so all of the text, schedules, and links keep working with every cookie blocked. The only visible effect is that the cookie notice may reappear, and our referral may not be credited.

Changes

If we add or remove a cookie we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
